We reviewed All American Gutter Protection’s gutter guard, spoke to a company representative about its warranty, and read available customer reviews to determine if it’s among the best gutter guards you can buy. While All American is a smaller company with a more limited service area than many of the gutter industry’s bigger brands, its products perform well, and it offers deals and discounts that distinguish it from other professional gutter guard installers.

We recommend All American Gutter Protection if you want a reliable micro-mesh gutter guard and live in one of the 15 states it serves. Our All American Gutter Protection review will analyze everything you need to know about the brand, including its pros, cons, warranty, and customer sentiments.

  • Design: All American received points for its micro-mesh screen and stainless steel filter. We deducted points in this category because its frame is made of aluminum, not stainless steel, and it doesn’t offer multiple color options.
  • Customer support: All American received full points in this category thanks to its lifetime warranty and the multiple communication methods it offers: phone, email, and online chat.
  • Quote process: We awarded All American points for its free inspections, financing options, and available discounts. However, it doesn’t offer quotes that are good for one year, so we deducted some points in this category.
  • Services: All American earned points for its gutter guard installation and gutter replacement services but lost points for not offering gutter cleaning or repair.
  • Customer reviews: All American received points for its higher-than-average customer review score across BBB and Trustpilot.

What Do We Think of All American Gutter Guards?

All American offers an effective product made from high-quality materials. All American guards feature a stainless steel micro-mesh screen and aluminum body, materials that can withstand harsh weather and last up to 20 years in most conditions.

We tested more than a dozen of the highest-rated DIY gutter guards on the market and found that micro-mesh filters performed the best out of any guard type. Micro-mesh keeps gutters clog-free while allowing water to pass through the guard, even in heavy rain.

Pros and Cons of All American Gutter Guards

Features a stainless steel micro-mesh gutter guard with supporting sub-structures
Offers seamless aluminum gutter installations in more than 30 colors
Provides multiple discounts
Operates in only 15 states
Doesn’t offer gutter repair or cleaning services

What We Think Sets All American Apart

The design and material quality of All American’s gutter guard set it apart from other gutter installers. It uses a high-quality material, stainless steel, for its micro-mesh design. This system withstands weathering and prevents debris as small as pine needles from entering your gutters while letting water flow through. It’s set within a lightweight and corrosion-resistant aluminum frame making it one of the top gutter guards for pine needles.
All American’s gutters are also high-quality. All American installs aluminum seamless gutters in more than 30 colors. Seamless gutters are superior to standard sectional systems. They don’t use connectors (also called joiners), making them less prone to leaks and giving them a longer shelf life.
All American offers generous discounts. We read its discount page and noted the following discounts are currently available:
$300 for full installs: $300 off if you install All American on your entire home
General 20% discount: 20% discount for whole-home guard installations
Senior citizen discount: 10% off for anyone over the age of 60
Military discount: 10% off for active duty, reserve, or retired service members

Where We Think All American Could Improve

We read every available customer review and noted some recurring complaints. All American’s most prevalent criticism is its inconsistent installation quality. While many customers praised its technicians and customer service personnel, negative reviews noted incorrectly installed guards, saggy sections, and cleanup issues.
We also think All American could improve its lack of service offerings. Most professional gutter guard installers include basic gutter maintenance options for customers. Gutter cleaning and repair are common industry standards for these companies. All American only offers gutter guard, seamless gutter, and downspout installations as well as fascia replacements.

How Much Do All American Gutter Guards Cost?

We recently surveyed 200 All American Gutter Protection customers and our research shows that HomeCraft gutter guards cost an average of $5,630 for 200 linear feet of gutters or $29 per linear foot. Based on our survey, the typical cost range for an All American Gutter Protection installation is between $3,900 and $5,900.

The national average cost for a professional gutter guard installation is between $1,800 and $3,500 but it can cost up to $8,000 for high-quality micro-mesh installations. Factors such as your home’s size, total linear feet of guttering, roof pitch, and local labor rates all affect the cost of your gutter guard installation. We suspect All American falls within this range.

How All American Compares to DIY Alternatives

We tested every kind of DIY gutter guard to understand how they measure up to professional standards. We believe All American’s guards perform better than most DIY products. Many DIY guards are made from plastic (typically vinyl or PCV) and have subpar debris-blocking and water-filtration capabilities. All American’s high-quality materials stand out from most DIY systems.

Some DIY brands, including Raptor, use stainless steel micro-mesh filters and can provide a low-cost alternative to professional installations. However, these DIY guards may be difficult to install and lack the long-lasting warranty protection and professional installation that comes with a gutter guard provider.

How Does All American Work?

All American’s gutter covers feature a stainless steel micro-mesh screen set within an aluminum frame. It has a supporting aluminum sub-structure and reinforcing hidden hangers. This creates a durable, corrosion-resistant shield that prevents debris buildup and clogs while allowing water passage.

As debris falls on your roof and gutter system, it will collect atop the guard or be pushed to the ground by water. The flat, smooth surface of the guard makes removing debris easy with a quick rinse with a hose. Cleaning and maintaining your gutters is easier with micro-mesh gutter guards because you don’t have to dig through the trough of your gutters to clear gunk.

What Does All American’s Warranty Cover?

We read All American’s warranty page and noted its lifetime performance warranty. This guarantees that “our gutter protection products will work as described in your contract for the life of your home.” The warranty page also notes, “If our gutters and gutter guards fail to meet your expectations for any reason, give us a call and we’ll do all we can to make it right.”

These conditions are somewhat vague, so we called All American and spoke to a representative. They informed us that the warranty lasts the lifetime of the home and completely covers the guards’ performance. If the guards leak, break, or fail to prevent materials from entering the gutters, All American will send a representative to handle it. We were told information regarding limitations and coverages was only available through an inspector and sales representative.

What Are Customers Saying About All American?

Customer responses to All American are mixed to positive overall. It has an A rating and accreditation on its Better Business Bureau (BBB) page with 59 reviews and a star rating of 3.5 out of 5. It has a single review on Trustpilot, which is 5 out of 5 stars.

As a smaller company, it’s unsurprising that All American has fewer online reviews. We read all available reviews and noted that few customers complain about All American’s products. Most reviews praise the quality of its guards and gutters. Critical reviews mention poor technician performance, such as failure to clean up job sites, incorrect installations, and missed appointments.

How Easy Is All American To Clean?

From our research and experience installing and testing micro-mesh guards, we believe All American offers a quality product that is easy to clean. Micro-mesh guards create a smooth, slick surface that allows debris to roll off naturally.

During testing, we sprayed micro-mesh guards with a hose or brushed them with a gloved hand, and almost all the material came off. The aluminum frame on All American’s guards looks tight with no visible gaps for materials to get stuck or snagged on, which would help ensure debris slides off without resistance.

How Are All American Gutter Guards Installed?

To work with All American Gutter Protection, contact them through an online form on its website or by phone. A customer service representative will schedule an appointment for an on-site inspection and free quote.

On that day, a salesperson will arrive at your home and inspect your existing gutter and roof system. They’ll look for anything that can affect the price of your new gutter guard installation, such as your roof pitch and total linear feet of guttering. After they inspect your system, they’ll give you a sales pitch on All American’s products and services, present your quote, and negotiate on price. They’ll schedule an installation date if you agree to the quote.

An installation crew will arrive at your home on that date. They’ll clean, make any necessary repairs, and install your new gutter guards. If you purchased seamless gutters with your guards, they’ll also remove your old system, roll and cut your new gutters to custom-fit your home, and install them. They’ll clean up the job site, dispose of remaining debris, and answer any questions you may have before departing.
