Axiom Home Warranty, founded in 2015, initially offered home warranty services to homeowners in Nevada and California, providing coverage for essential home systems and appliances. However, in 2019, Axiom Home Warranty ceased operations and went out of business, leading to its acquisition by Home Services Club. As a result, Axiom’s services were integrated into Home Services Club’s offerings, allowing existing customers to continue receiving coverage under the new company structure.
We recommend considering Home Services Club or one of our other top home warranty providers for reliable coverage and customer service.

How Are Axiom Home Warranty Reviews?
Axiom Home Warranty is not accredited with the BBB and has a B- rating.
- While the majority of customer reviews note a lack of professionalism, less than ideal communication practices, and delays in servicing emergency claims, there are some customers who have had a positive experience.
Here are a few BBB reviews below:
“Thank goodness for Axiom, whom we have a warranty with. They sent out a repair tech when my fridge stopped cooling. He came out on time, was able to fix the fridge, and cleaned up nicely when he was finished. I really appreciate Axiom’s warranty and service.” —Margaret F. on June 20, 2019
“This business is very unprofessional and needs to be shut down. They do not honor your contract and do not call back or conduct business in a professional matter.” —Drake P. on Nov. 26, 2019
How Do You Make a Claim with Axiom Home Warranty?
When a covered system or appliance stops working, you can file a claim with Axiom Home Warranty through its mobile app or through your online account. Axiom will then connect you with a pre-screened service provider to help diagnose the issue. Axiom only works with contractors who have applicable state and trade licenses, general liability and workers compensation insurance, and a history of outstanding customer satisfaction.
After a contractor is dispatched to your house, the home warranty company will charge you a service call fee that goes directly to the independent contractor and covers the inspection, diagnosis, and repair costs. If the item can’t be repaired, the contractor will replace the item. Once the work is complete, the contractor will be reimbursed for all the work by the company.
Is Axiom Home Warranty Worth it?
Though Axiom Home Warranty offers decent coverage, a low starting service fee, and a convenient mobile app, it’s available in only two states, isn’t transparent with service fee costs, and doesn’t have a sample contract for potential customers to review.
Preferred Provider: American Home Shield
As a home warranty alternative, we recommend American Home Shield (AHS) as the best overall home warranty provider. American Home Shield has been in the business since 1971 and services all states except for Alaska.
AHS offers homeowners extensive coverage and customizability across its three plans. ShieldSilver covers major household systems, including heating, electrical, and plumbing. ShieldGold provides coverage all the systems in ShieldSilver while adding kitchen and laundry appliances to the plan.
American Home Shield’s most popular package is ShieldPlatinum, which offers coverage for 23 systems and appliances alongside additional benefits like coverage boosts and roof leak coverage. We have found ShieldPlatinum’s coverage to be among the most comprehensive in the home warranty industry, and it comes at a reasonable price. Consider reading our expert review of American Home Shield to learn more.
Homeowners also get the flexibility to choose from two service fee options of $100 or $125. The higher the service fee, the lower your monthly premium.

Our Rating Methodology
We evaluated each home warranty company using a detailed rating methodology to assign scores objectively. Our research included discussions with company representatives, requests for quotes, analysis of sample contracts, and insights from focus groups and homeowner surveys. We also tested 11 home warranty providers for their sign-up and claims process and conducted secret shopping.
We used the collected data to evaluate each provider across six key categories that are essential when choosing a home warranty. We assigned a point value to each provider in every category, with a total possible score of 100 points. The final scores were then converted into a 5-star rating system.
Here’s a breakdown of the weighted factors:
- Coverage: This category evaluated the comprehensiveness of each provider’s coverage, including unique items. Companies with extensive coverage and higher annual limits received the highest scores, while points were deducted for long waiting periods or depreciation policies that reduced payouts.
- Cost: We analyzed average monthly prices and service call fees, giving the highest points to companies with competitive pricing and no hidden charges.
- Trustworthiness: We reviewed customer ratings on trusted sites like the Better Business Bureau and Trustpilot, considering how companies handled complaints. Providers with high ratings and strong guarantees scored better, while ongoing legal issues resulted in lost points.
- Plan transparency: We assessed the clarity of terms and policies in contracts and on company websites. Companies with transparent contract details received more points.
- Customer support: Companies that offered multiple ways to file claims, provide quick responses, and ensure easily accessible support tend to receive higher ratings.
- Flexibility: Providers that offered more plan options, a broader add-on catalog, and customer-friendly cancellation policies scored higher.
