American Van Lines’ website is not as user-friendly as others, and multiple pages are just walls of text and explanations. That said, we appreciate that the company gives a lot of information about its service and average costs online.

We struggled to get specific cost information from AVL. When we contacted them for a ballpark quote, AVL’s representatives pushed to set up an in-person visit for a binding estimate. When we asked again for ballpark figures, they referred us to the general cost page on the company’s website. As noted above, we think these prices are significantly lower than what you’ll actually pay. More detailed and accurate cost information requires a walk-through.
