A specialist from the E.K. Perry Paint Company demonstrates the art of sponge painting. Artisan Jeannie Serpa shows host Bob Vila the art of painting in the false marble technique.

Cast acrylic countertops and sink and handcrafted, custom-made cabinets are installed. Bob Vila visits the workshop where countertops were fabricated. Norm Abram demonstrates a new table saw.

Southern yellow pine flooring is laid over the new radiant heat system. Norm and host Bob Vila show how the vanity for the new master bathroom was built.

Exterior work continues. A special European technique is used to lime the aged chimney. Norm shows host Bob Vila how new wooden gutters are installed on the front porch.

Norm Abram crafts decorative arches. Bob Vila supervises as decorative balusters are lathed, and insulation is blown in to the existing structure. The ceiling is replaced.

Bob Vila gives an update on the progress of the restoration. Windows are installed in the new wing, and Vila takes viewers to Bayport, MN, to visit a state-of-the-art window factory.

Bob Vila and master carpenter Norm Abram install true divided light French doors. Bill and Cynthia start roofing the addition with Western rew cedar shingles.
