We found Jennifer Johnson under her house in Broadmoor, with her home jacked up a full story, hopefully out of the next flood’s way.
As Katrina came crashing in, Jennifer was “extremely pregnant.” Today she holds her beautiful 2-year-old daughter by her side. Still not home, the best they can do is unlock a ladder they keep chained to the cribbing that holds their empty house aloft and visit now and again, dreaming of climbing home.
