CONCORD, Mass., MAR. 26, 2020 —Continuing its storied tradition of entertaining and empowering audiences with trusted home improvement advice, This Old House is launching “This Old House: Live” to help home enthusiasts across the country pass the time productively and connect with This Old House experts.
“This Old House: Live” begins on Friday, March 27, at 5p ET with free access in the This Old House App to stream all episodes of This Old House and Ask This Old House, and select episodes of New Yankee Workshop, a benefit normally reserved for Insider members. The This Old House App is available on iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV, and access to all episodes will remain free through Sunday, March 29.
A weekly expert series kicks off on Monday, March 30, with This Old House Landscape Contractor Jenn Nawada offering a week of tips, techniques, livestream Q&As, and content to help audiences tackle landscaping projects. Week two will feature This Old House Painter Mauro Henrique offering a bevy of painting content, and This Old House Carpenter Nathan Gilbert will dive into carpentry projects and answer fan questions in week three.
“During these challenging times, we’re trying to do our small part to offer our fans a connection with our team of experts,” said Dan Suratt, CEO of This Old House Ventures. “It is our hope that This Old House can offer fans across the country a bit of respite and help them with their projects around the house.”
In addition to answering viewer questions, “This Old House: Live” will solicit submissions from audience members, and feature the most inspiring projects across its social platforms. Audiences will also be treated to a giveaway; starting Thursday, April 2, one winner will win a $250 Home Depot gift card each week.
“This Old House: Live” will also serve as a resource center to provide information and links to users who are interested and able to donate personal protective equipment (PPE) including N95 masks, safety goggles, face shields, and nitrile gloves—items that are common among construction sites as well as home workshops.
